In 1973, McDonald Uniforms was started by Joe McDonald. After retiring from the United States Postal Service, being the man he was, Joe decided to stay in touch with his former comrades at the United States Postal Service. How was he going to do that, that's right, he decided to become a salesman of uniforms and accessories to the men and women who delivered mail day in and day out.

Joe took on his son, Dan, in the late 1970's as a salesman. Dan enjoyed what he did by going out to the post offices each day and seeing what the men and women needed and then go back to the shop, the garage, and pick and pack the order getting ready for the next day to deliver. Service was the key to the company. These two men triumphed over what people told them they could not do and did it. They received orders and had the inventory to supply the USPS with their much needed uniforms the following day.

Today, Dan operates the company in North East Philadelphia in a 10,000 square foot complex equipped with offices, tailoring department, shipping and receiving departments, a conference room and most importantly a store front which allows customers to come and try the garments on in the fitting rooms and wait just minutes for the pieces to be tailored in need be.

The success of McDonald Uniforms has come because of the service provided to each customer over the years. McDonald Uniforms would like to thank all of those who have been loyal to us as we have tried to be loyal and deserving of your business.

Thank you,

Dan McDonald
